Electroplating of parts - protection, durability and accuracy

Metal galvanizationis not just a decorative coating, but a technology that provides corrosion protection, increases wear resistance and extends the service life of metal products. If your equipment or parts operate in difficult conditions, you cannot do without a reliable galvanic coating.

At VESTCHEM, we perform galvanization of parts in accordance with the technical specifications, taking into account the characteristics of the metal, operating conditions and desired appearance. We provide galvanization services for industrial enterprises, engineering bureaus, equipment manufacturers and individual customers.

What is electroplating and why is it needed?

Electroplating of partsis the process of applying a metal layer to the surface of a product using electrolytic deposition. Simply put, the part is immersed in a bath of electrolyte, through which a current is passed. As a result, a thin, uniform and durable layer of metal is deposited on its surface.

This is a classic and extremely effective method:

  • protect metal from corrosion;
  • reduce friction between surfaces;
  • increase electrical conductivity or vice versa - create a barrier;
  • provide decorative appeal;
  • prepare the product for further processing stages (welding, painting, polishing).

Electroplatingof parts is used in mechanical engineering, instrument making, electronics, furniture manufacturing, automotive and aviation industries.

Types of galvanic coatings we offer

Depending on the type of base metal and operating environment, we perform the following types of metal galvanization:

  • Galvanizingis a classic rust protection, especially relevant for external structures, body parts, and fittings.
  • Electroplating of aluminumcreates a thin but extremely durable film on the surface that protects the light metal from oxidation and preserves its mechanical properties.
  • Electroplating nickel plating provides shine, wear resistance and aesthetics to the product, and also improves conductivity.
  • Electroplating chrome is a decorative and functional solution that creates a perfectly shiny, hard surface.
  • Combined layers — for example, copper + nickel or zinc + varnish for comprehensive protection.

We also have moderngalvanic equipmentthat allows us to precisely dose voltage, temperature, exposure time, and other parameters.

Electroplating equipment and our capabilities

Our workshop haselectroplating equipmentthat provides:

  • deposition of a layer with a thickness of 5 to 50 microns;
  • controlled coating quality without leaks and cracks;
  • processing of parts of various shapes and complexity;
  • work with ferrous metals, stainless steel, aluminum alloys;
  • surface preparation (cleaning, etching, neutralization);
  • washing and drying the finished product.

We control the galvanization process at all stages. After coating, we conduct visual and technical quality control - we measure the layer thickness, adhesion, and check the integrity.

For which parts is electroplating suitable?

Galvanization of partscan be applied to:

  • screws, nuts, washers, fasteners;
  • axles, bushings, spindles;
  • electronic elements, boards, contacts;
  • fittings, handles, hinges;
  • pipes, frames, supports, housings;
  • non-standard spare parts and components.

The main advantage is versatility. Regardless of the geometry, we will select the optimal method of galvanic coating so that the part meets its function 100%

Electroplating - when it is profitable

The use of galvanization is often a reasonable alternative to painting or anodizing, especially when you need:

  • provide protection without increasing the thickness of the product;
  • improve appearance without mechanical treatment;
  • minimize wear under friction conditions;
  • prepare the surface for soldering or bonding;
  • save on maintenance and replacement of parts.

Electroplating is not only an industrial technology, but also a way to rationalize costs. The cost of electroplating is significantly lower than replacing components or applying multilayer coatings using other methods.

Transparency and technical competence

We don't promise miracles. We speak the language of parameters:

  • layer thickness is controlled;
  • type of coating - selected for the task;
  • Cycle time depends on geometry and material.

Working with us, you get not justgalvanic coating of parts, but an engineering-based solution that works in real conditions.
